On a hugely satisfying LP, Yaya dances precisely between a lo-fi mixtape and shoomping R&B. The light vocals and delicate production might sink into one another were it not for a sharpness to the writing; especially in its explicit moments, Bey’s lyrics split through the seamless beats with a bite. ‘RYNS’ is not content with simply being an amiable, slick record and pushes comfortably forward without sacrificing an ounce of smoothness. In the reggae, R&B, and soul departments, Bey is working to full capacity with an infectious ease. It is the ease that comprises her outward and inward healing.

Saw this at SOTU and really like the sound. Was thinking of picking it up.
