WiFiGawd has a dauntingly large discography, beginning in 2016 and harvesting up to eight albums a year. This is his second of 2022, and some of the D.C-born rapper and producer’s cleanest production to date. WiFi digs for beats in a way that once involved vinyl and crates, but now revolves around websites with a tight network of collaborators. His most recent work is evidence of an obsessively good ear for hooks and a poised, assertive flow that never disrupts the beat. There is a nonchalant charm that coats the entire record—one which brings virtuosity together with an easy-listening core.
